There’s no plan B.

Issue 23

We shouldn’t have a plan B.

Have you ever started a new venture and thought to yourself if this doesn’t work out ‘I always have plan b’ of course you have and so have I. But let me tell you, having a plan b is not always a good idea as you’re less likely to take consistent action towards your goal as you’ll slip back into the mindset of If this fails I have my plan B.

Make your plan A a priority and don’t let yourself slip off track, hold yourself accountable and stick to the plan.

If you truly believe in what you’re doing, it’ll feel rewarding to work on and why would you not want to go all in on something that you love?

3 reasons not to have a plan B.

  • If you truly believe in your plan and give it 100% you’ll make it a success.

  • It allows you to deviate from your plan.

  • You’re not committed to plan A.

Create a plan, execute and take action. Plan A has to work, don’t fool yourself into thinking that there’s a plan B. You’re setting yourself up to fail before you’ve even started.

When we create a backup plan, we can easily justify to ourselves when something goes wrong or we deviate from our initial goal.

So let me ask you again when you start a new venture, will you have a plan A and plan B, or just plan A and make it work?
